Description
In this picture to the left is one of the columns of Ezekiel 40:49. On the right are the Inner Temple platform (Ezekiel 41:8), door of the porch of the House (47:1), and its side pillar (Ezekiel 40:48-49). Straight ahead is the water of Ezekiel 47:1 flowing east from under the threshold and platform of the south side of the House. Across the water the southern chambers for the Levitical priests are seen (Ezekiel 42:10-12). The southwest porch of the Inner Court (41:15) is seen opening into these chambers. This is the same porch that is seen in picture (51). Upon entering this porch if one walks straight ahead is the 100 cubits (175 feet) long pathway of the south door of these chambers that opens onto the upper pavement of the outer court next to the guardroom and side pillar of the east inner court gate (see picture 48). Upon entering this porch if one walks east, is the 10 cubits wide (17.5 feet) 100 cubits long inner walkway of these chambers that ends at the junction of the 6-cubits (10.5 feet) wide wall towards the east of 42:10 and the south door pathway of Ezekiel 42:12. This junction is seen in picture (49). Along the entire right side (west side) of the south door pathway as one walks south from the inner court to the outer court is the main utensil area for the south side of the House. This area is 100 cubits long and 7.5 cubits (13.125 feet) wide. It holds all the linens and utensils such as plates, dishes, drinking glasses, knives, forks, etc. for the House.
